We recently helped a homeowner in Kennebunk Maine who had an oval window in a downstairs lavatory. Obviously privacy was necessary, but the homeowner did not want to lose the architectural deatil of the window. This unusuual round window is in a perfect nautical setting in this beautiful beach front home. The problem for the homeowner was that this window is in their master bedroom, and the window faces East. After too many early mornings waking up from the sun, they finally heard from a friend that we could cover any shaped window with a plantation shutter.
