Minimizing Glare in a North Hampton, NH Office

We all love the glow of natural sunlight, especially during these cold winter days. But, the sun can have a great affect on productivity in an office if the glare affects computer screens,

Our favorite product for this type of challenge are called ’screen shades’ or ’solar shades’. These shades are made from woven fiberglass and covered in vinyl. The weaves can be plain or have a natural appearance. The tightness of the weave will determine the amount of sunlight that is allowed through the shade. Most office environments will require either a 3% or 5% open weave. Very strong sunlight may require a 1% weave.

Many of these shades are made to Greenguard standards and are safe for use in schools. The large widths of the fabrics available make them ideal for large walls of glass.
